After two decades of collaborating with renowned reed players and some of the most original minds in jazz and improvised music, Swiss bassist Christian Weber and German drummer Michael Griener have teamed up with Serbian pianist Marina Džukljev to form this exciting new trio. Her background in contemporary music as well as her experience in experimental music make her an ideal partner to illuminate the rich palette and enthusiasm of the rhythm section. One of the many bands that owe their genesis to the legendary Berlin venue Au Topsi Pohl, the three first came together there in April 2022. After an intense collaboration, they now present their debut album. Together they forge their idiosyncrasies and resources into a unique, often archaic blend of sounds that will entertain lovers of fast-paced musical confrontation as well as those thirsting for well-told, timeless tales from the unknown.
